Raintro

from Rainmaker by Lorenzo Miniero

/

about

That's the temporary name I chose for it (it's an intro, and it has rain, so I suppose it makes sense?), and I decided to keep it as it is, silly as it was. The arpeggio is one I improvised and tended to play often, so I re-arranged it so that it would start clean (with rain in the background) and then become heavier, along the lines of what "Ascension" was on the previous album. Just as that one, it ends abruptly on purpose, to jump in the second track.

Musically speaking, it's very inspired to doom arpeggios like the ones you can hear in My Dying Bride songs.

about

Lorenzo Miniero Naples, Italy

I'm getting older but, unlike whisky, I'm not getting any better. So, besides developing open source software for a living, I've decided to go back to an old passion of mine: writing and recording music.
