Colours

from Rainmaker by Lorenzo Miniero

/

about

I think this was one of the very first tracks I composed, but it was definitely the very last one I recorded, as I struggled a bit with the orchestration.

The first part is quite obviously (to me) influenced by Blackfield as well, while the second part is vaguely reminiscent of "Out of the Void" from the previous album, with its big emotional crescendo.

lyrics

An orange sunset goes
Red as the brightest rose
A yellow sky with violet clouds
I wonder if it will rain tonight?

The red now turned to blue
Green leaves, indigo dew
The drizzle turns to a deluge
We seek some cover for one last time

The rain stops falling
Our tears keep flowing
Now that you've left me behind
Colours appearing
A rainbow so painful to see

about

Lorenzo Miniero Naples, Italy

I'm getting older but, unlike whisky, I'm not getting any better. So, besides developing open source software for a living, I've decided to go back to an old passion of mine: writing and recording music.
